From March 23rd to 27th, 2026, the MAPWORMS project took part in the European Robotics Forum (ERF) in Stavanger, Norway, one of the most important annual events for the European robotics community.

The forth general meeting of the MAPWORMS Consortium was held in Pontedera from March 16 to 18, 2026, hosted by SSSA at The BioRobotic Institute. This in-person event provided partners with a valuable opportunity to reflect on progress, coordinate future activities, and prepare to the last Review Meeting in May 2026.

At the latest Living Machines 2025 conference, the MAPWORMS Project was featured in the workshop “Biomimetic Microrobots as Microscale Living Machines: New Materials and Technologies for Future Medical Solutions”.

On July 1st, the global scientific community celebrates International Polychaete Day, a day dedicated to the fascinating world of polychaetes and to honoring Dr. Kristian Fauchald, a renowned researcher in polychaete taxonomy.

The third general meeting of the MAPWORMS Consortium was held in Lecce from April 1 to 3, 2025, hosted by CoNISMa. This in-person event provided partners with a valuable opportunity to reflect on progress, coordinate future activities, and respond to feedback received during the project’s Second Review Meeting in December 2024.

From March 25th to 27th, 2025, the MAPWORMS project was actively involved in the European Robotics Forum (ERF) held in Stuttgart, Germany — one of the most important annual gatherings for the European robotics community.

Over the past few weeks, the CoNISMa team had the pleasure of participating in the 83rd Congress of the Italian Zoological Union (UZI) and the 57th European Marine Biology Symposium.

On September 27th, 2024, the MAPWORMS project had the wonderful opportunity to participate in Bright Night 2024: European Researchers’ Night.

On Tuesday, June 25th, we had the incredible opportunity to present the results of our MAPWORMS project at the workshop titled Bio-Inspired Medical Robotics: From Evolution to Revolution in Healthcare.

Professor Luigi Musco of CoNISMa, one of the lead investigators of the MAPWORMS project, recently participated in a live session with OceanItalians.
