The Austrian Center for Medical Innovation and Technology (ACMIT Gmbh) is operating an internationally oriented competence center for medical technology development , dealing with development of new medical technology.

ACMIT’s mission statement works in three different directions, all of which are complementary to one another. First, the center works on an application oriented research and development, with the overall goal to bring every progress to their real use in clinical context. Technologies developed in the framework of ACMIT should contribute to make medical treatment safer and more efficient.

On another level, ACMIT operates on the identification and the realisation of new tools and procedures in the area of medical technology from cooperative research together with internationally renowned top researchers, using an extensive network of scientific partners.

Lastly, ACMIT is establishing a globally visible research and development center by partnering with worldwide players in medical technology.
